Sandra’s photography has been recognized for its innovation and artistry, incorporating both traditional and contemporary techniques. She served as director of Soho Photo Gallery and is the creator of the popular International Krappy Kamera Competition and Exhibition held annually at Soho Photo in Manhattan. She is also a founding member of fotofoto Gallery in Huntington, NY and 9 East Contemporary Art Guild in Huntington, and teaches photography at Nassau Community College.
Lois is drawn to the fragile and ephemeral nature of the human condition. She often uses damaged antique dolls or decaying vegetables to metaphorically illustrate her concepts. Her photographs have been included in numerous group exhibitions in the USA, Italy, China, and Russia, as well as several solo exhibitions in New York, Italy, and Korea. She is also a founding member of fotofoto gallery and 9 East Contemporary Art Guild, both in Huntington, NY.
Lois and Sandra recently formed the Image Factory Workshop where they teach classes in alternative digital printing processes.
