Nimisha Ladva is a storyteller, writer, and solo performer. Her stories have been broadcast on NPR’s Newsworks, RISK!, Smart Talk, and other podcasts. She was recently featured in the PBS program Stories from the Stage. Winner of numerous story slams for First Person Arts and The Moth, she has been a Grand Slam winner for both. Her solo performance play, Uninvited Girl: An Immigrant Story, had its New York premiere at the Women in Theater Festival in 2018.
She is a widely published author whose story An American Family was anthologized in RISK!: True Stories People Never Thought They’d Dare to Share. She teaches at Haverford College, where she is the oral communications and public speaking specialist. She teaches storytelling and public speaking workshops on and off campus.
